To submit an article to the guild newsletter, please utilize as little formatting as possible.
Some limitations with current software include a lack of subscripts or superscripts and restarting numbered lists between columns or pages. It is also easier for formatting if all captions are provided in text format and photos are provided as individual files. Other image types can be used but may appear as a lower resolution. Most of these issues can be worked around if needed.
Please also include waivers or citations for all submitted written work and photos (including model releases), as appropriate. Questions should be submitted to the guild email address at atlantiaforesters[at]gmail.com
Deadlines are the last day of the month before the change in season, for example, the Fall edition's submissions are due on August 31.
With much appreciation from the Chronicler,
So you've decided to check out the forestry guild, what now?
1) Join us on facebook!
2) Submit an application and learn about member progression.
3) Join our challenge
4) After 90 days probation, you can take the oath to officially join the Kingdom of Atlantia Royal Forestry Guild. Members out of the kingdom are unable to take the oath to our Kingdom and so may remain affiliate members.
5) After you have given your oath, you are given the rank of novice and have the opportunity to test for higher ranks by displaying skills, if you wish. Some of those skills are included in our current challenge, but you must be an oathed member for testing for ranks.
We look forward to you joining us! - Forester Isobel
We've put together a challenge for our foresters to stay active and learn new skills while we are apart. There are three award levels and activities are broad enough to allow a wide level of participation. Feel free to gear the activities for your own best learning and enjoyment! (pdf available here)
